Sarah Palin invites Patsy Gilbert and daughter Dallas to meet Trig
"A slice of heaven!" That's how Patsy Gilbert describes being escorted backstage to meet Trig Palin. Just moments earlier, she and husband Dave, daughter Dallas, and friend George Bush impersonator John Morgan, were in line for a book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Orlando. After mentioning her desire to meet Trig, Gilbert watched as Governor Palin had a short conversation about school with Dallas, who like Trig has Down Syndrome. Then Palin called to her aunt to facilitate a move backstage. "My husband has always wanted to hold Trig since he saw his picture over a year ago", Gilbert recounts,"but each time I tried to give Dave at turn, Trig just buried his head in my shoulder." Dallas played peek-a-boo, Dave got a quick turn holding the youngest Palin, and no one is sure if Trig was so at home with Patsy Gilbert due to her impersonator costume.
